New Partnership Announcement
Dylan Longbottom Surfboards at Hidden Bay Resort
We have great news for our friends and guests.
Hidden Bay Resort is proud to announce a new partnership with renowned Australian surfer and shaper Dylan Longbottom. Starting now, guests can order their own Dylan Surfboards and have them ready and waiting upon arrival at the resort.
Dylan Surfboards are crafted in Bali using imported, high-quality materials and offer a wide range of models designed for all types of waves. Each board is shaped using Dylan’s decades of firsthand experience testing equipment in surf conditions around the world, from small playful waves to some of the heaviest surf on the planet.
Recognized as one of the world’s most respected surfer-shapers, Dylan Longbottom is known for his big-wave charging and extensive free-surfing travels across the globe. Every board reflects that experience. Every barrel, every carve, every air feeds directly into the designs. The result is surfboards that are highly functional, responsive, and built to perform when it matters most.
As a true traveler who constantly tests his equipment in all types of waves and conditions, Dylan’s boards inspire real confidence. These are shapes designed by someone who actually surfs them, everywhere.
We’ve already ordered a demo quiver, available at the resort for guests to test during their stay, and we couldn’t be more excited about this addition.
At Hidden Bay Resort, we are always working to improve our services so our guests have the best possible support to enjoy the world’s best waves, while still feeling at home in paradise.

About Dylan Longbottom
Dylan Longbottom made the transition from bricklayer to world-renowned free surfer and big-wave charger throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Around 15 years ago, following in his father’s footsteps, he picked up the planer and began shaping surfboards.
Today, Dylan is best known for his big-wave guns and tow boards, ridden by elite surfers such as Lucas “Chumbo” Chianca, Matahi Drollet, and Laurie Towner. At the same time, he continues to shape high-performance shortboards for progressive surfers like Charley Martin, Kian Martin, Lennix Smith, and his daughter, Summa.
Now 50 years old, Dylan operates shaping bays in Bali, Cronulla (Australia), and Portugal, and continues to push limits with big airs and heavy waves around the world.
Dylan’s Two-Board Travel Quiver (Excerpt)
“The first board in my bag would be a small-wave, high-performance PU board like my Mexican Model. It has a slightly flatter rocker, a fuller nose, and more area in the plan shape with a hip in front of the fins.
For me, at 6’0” and 80 kg, I ride it at 5’11” x 19 1/4” x 2 1/2”, around 30 liters. It’s perfect for small beach breaks, points, and reefs.”
“My second board would be a crossover between a step-up and a high-performance shortboard. My Predator Model is designed for waves from four to twelve feet and works equally well in solid surf or heavy barrels.
I’d glass it strong for travel and keep a medium rocker with subtle concaves. At 6’2” x 19” x 2 9/16” and 31.5 liters, it’s a dependable board that can handle almost any wave and is a true travel essential.”
