Our Featured Trips are 10, 11 or 14 nights long, run back to back all year, and are limited to 16 surfers per trip.

- Return speedboat transfer included: Padang to Hidden Bay and back (US$350 per person on your own dates)
- No overnight in Padang: land in the morning and sleep at the resort that same night. No Padang hotels, no 7am ferry
- Surf video package included for every surfer: your sessions on video to watch, improve and share
- Small group: 16 surfers maximum
Trips until 19 December 2026: the transfer is still included, but it may run on the public fast boat, so plan a night in Padang before and after your trip (hotel paid by the guest). From January 2027, the direct speedboat runs as described above.

Plan your flights
Arrival day: land in Padang in the morning. Our boat leaves around midday and you’ll be at Hidden Bay by late afternoon.
Departure day: we leave the resort early and reach Padang before noon, in time for afternoon flights.
No overnight in Padang needed (from January 2027). For trips until 19 December 2026, plan a night in Padang before and after: the transfer may run on the public fast boat, which leaves Padang at 7am and returns in the evening.
Good to know
Featured Trip transfers are operated by trusted local partners contracted by Hidden Bay. The crossing to the Mentawais is an open-ocean journey: our chartered speedboat usually takes 3.5 to 4 hours, but sea and weather conditions can affect travel times. Occasionally, conditions may require us to use alternative transport.
Hidden Bay is not liable for delays or changes caused by weather, sea conditions or government decisions. If they happen, we’ll do everything we can to get you to the resort, or back to Padang, as quickly as possible, and keep you informed every step of the way. We recommend afternoon flights and avoiding tight connections.
Prefer your own dates?
Arrive and depart on any Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday on the public fast boat from Padang to Siberut Island. From there, our private speedboat takes you to the resort in about 1 hour 20 minutes. Minimum stay: 5 nights.
The public boat leaves Padang at 7am and returns at 6pm, so you’ll need a night in Padang before your arrival and another after your departure.

What's included in the price?
Your room and all meals: from US$180 per person per night sharing an Ocean Suite, or US$220 in a private room, plus 10% government tax. On Featured Trips, the return transfer from Padang and the surf video package are included too (direct speedboat from January 2027; trips until 19 December 2026 may use the public fast boat, with a night in Padang before and after).
Do surfers pay extra?
Yes. Everyone who surfs takes the Surf Pack: US$90 per night plus 10% government tax, with boat sessions to 24+ waves timed to the forecast by our guides. Plus the Mentawai surf tax: US$120 per surfer. Non-surfers pay neither.
How do I pay?
A 30% deposit secures your spot, and the balance is due 30 days before arrival. Card payments carry a 3.5% fee. Prices are in US dollars and the 10% government tax is shown separately on your invoice.
What if I need to cancel?
The deposit is non-refundable. Once your trip is fully paid, payments are non-refundable, but you can move them to a future date.
What surf level do I need?
We welcome surfers of all levels who can already surf on their own. With 24+ waves around us, our guides pick the right spot for you every day.
